Harrods sold to Gulf State Qatar

Harrods is being sold. Mohamed Al Fayed is selling his landmark department store in London to the Qatari royal family. Mister Al Fayed was until recently insisting that his store was not up for sale but now it seems he has fallen for a 1.5billion Pound deal with the Qataris. He will become Harrods' honorary chairman. The tycoon says it is because he wants to spend more time with his family but it is being rumored that he is selling it in protest because he has tried to get British citizenship for a very long time but still has not got it. Mister Al Fayed is said to have plumped for the Qataris because they would maintain the legacy and traditions of Harrods.
